Sharp blades are essential as dull blades tear at grass, causing uneven cuts and stressing the lawn. Lawn mower blades require regular maintenance thus, it is recommended that blades are sharpened regularly. Sharpen the blades once or twice a month during the season. If you see brown, ragged tips on your grass, your blade needs sharpening.
